UK!OK Extra Time
UK!OK! Extra Time is on air every Saturday from 2pm through to 6pm.
It is an exciting mix of sports and music. During the football season the first two hours of the show provide a classified football results round up followed by "putting the meat on the bones" with details of how the games unfolded. This is the only radio show in Barbados to give you this service.
The third hour has a round up of all of the other UK sporting results and stories, including a preview of the upcoming Olympic Games in Beijing and the British hopefuls attempts at qualification.
In the final hour we concentrate on Global sporting events as well as local sport here in Barbados, as well as hosting, at 5.30, the latest news from Starcom Network News at 5.30.
But the show is not just about sport! This is the show that allows a mix of the best of the new releases as well as great music from the past 50 years, where else would you hear Andy Williams singing "Music to watch girls by" followed by "Monster" from The Automatic?
If you want to hear Pulp, Squeeze, Blur, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Abba, Duran Duran, The Gypsy Kings, Baddeil and Skinner, Fat Les and of course Chas "n" Dave mixed together with Amy Macdonald, Duffy, The Hoosiers, British Sea Power, The Feeling, One Night Only, Mika, etc, etc, this is the show for you, in fact you can also chose the music, simply e-mail your requests to ukok@love1041.com and if i have it in the system it will be played!
UK!OK! is the only show on Barbados radio that gave unrivaled support to the last World Cup Qualifying match between Barbados and Dominica, and we will be following the boys to the USA in June, keep listening for more information.
If you love both music and sport UK!OK! EXTRA TIME is the only show for you!!!!!!!
