Terry Bent - Presenter UK!OK!
Terry, through his company El Gecko Inc., is the presenter of UK!OK!
When he moved to Barbados in 2004 he had a vision to start a radio station aimed at the tourist and ex-pat market. 10% of the full time residents of this caribbean island are British ex-pats, and with an average of 12,000 tourists here every day that means a staggering 37,500 people.
Unfortunately he was unable to secure a license so turned to Barbados's biggest commercial radio operators, Starcom Network, who immediately saw the potential for a show.
On 28th January 2008 three years work reached the airwaves, and on Starcom's Love 104.1 FM frequency UK!OK! hit the nation.
Terry has worked in radio in the UK before moving to Barbados but sees this whole concept the pinnacle of his career. He has nothing but admiration for the vision of the Directors of Starcom, who helped see his dream come to fruition.
